Representative office of the enterprise on the territory of Ukraine is a permanent place for any business activities of non-residents in Ukraine. With the purpose of correct taxation permanent representatives also include residents who are authorized to act on behalf non-residents.

Representative office of the enterprise on the territory of Ukraine can perform any activities related to representing its business interests.

Representative office has the right to temporarily import necessary equipment for official use. The enterprise has the right to transfer funds to accounts of its representative offices for salaries and current payments.

Representative offices of non-residents range from companies with permanent activities on the territory of Ukraine to companies which do not have permanent commercial activities.

In case if the purpose of the representative office comes down to sole representation of the non-resident in Ukraine including signing contracts (or any other actions which do not qualify as commercial activity and don’t anticipate making profit) such representative office is considered non-permanent.

In case if the purpose of the representative office includes any commercial activity it is qualified as temporary. Commercial activities of the permanent representative office are performed within the framework of the activity of non-residents.
